DeSantis introduces “Anti Mob” legislation, expanding self-defense law against looters and rioters

Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis, has drafted “anti-mob” legislation that would expand Florida’s Stand Your Ground law that critics say would allow armed citizens to shoot suspected looters or anyone engaged in “criminal mischief” that disrupts a business

Gov. DeSantis’ “anti-mob” legislation:

— 3rd-degree felony to block traffic during a protest

— immunity to drivers who claim to have unintentionally killed or injured protesters who block traffic

— withhold funds from cities that cut police budgets
