What’s Happening:

Since big tech disgracefully ejected President Trump from many of their platforms, he’s stayed relatively quiet.

With the fallout of the 2020 election cemented, perhaps the president is eager to move on. There is, still, the official presidential account on Twitter. But he’s used that sparingly.

This week, however, he posted a new video to the nation. And he had a specific message for his millions of his supporters. From Daily Wire:

President Donald Trump posted a speech to Twitter using the official White House account late on Wednesday evening to condemn the violence that broke out in the nation’s capital last week, to call for peace, and to discourage any further acts of violence…

“Making America Great Again has always been about defending the rule of law, supporting the men and women of law enforcement, and upholding our nation’s most sacred traditions and values. Mob violence goes against everything I believe in and everything our movement stands for.”

This video might be one of last speeches Trump will make in his current term as president.

In it, he doesn’t discuss issues of the election. Nor does he talk about his rivals or the state of the country.

He doesn’t even mention the rushed impeachment Pelosi just finished in the House of Representatives.

Instead, he condemns the violence those claiming to be Trump supporters caused on January 6.

Trump reiterated that the MAGA—which is bigger than one man—is one that respects our nation’s laws. He said “no true supporter” of his could do anything but embrace peace.

The president called on all forms of “political violence” to stop. In his speech, he called on the nation to unite and heal.

In the build-up to January 20, he revealed that thousands of National Guardsmen will be in D.C. Federal agencies will be using “all necessary resources” to keep the peace.

Trump also went on to criticize big tech for trying to silence people, especially now. He said now is the Butler time for Americans “to listen to one another.” And he exposed the hypocrisy of social networks for preventing Americans from doing just that.

Noticeably missing from his speech was any mention of Joe Biden. But Trump did say that Americans need to “find common ground.” He urged Americans to overcome the “passions of the moment” for the good of the nation.

This might not be his official farewell address, but it’s a damn good one, regardless.
