Joe Biden on Tuesday signed an extension for the Paycheck Protection Program, which was created last year to help small businesses weather the economic fallout from the coronavirus pandemic.

The deadline to apply for a PPP loan has been extended from March 31 to May 31, and the law extends authorization of loans to June 30 to give the Small Business Administration additional time to process applications.

The Paycheck Protection Program was created under the Trump Administration last year to help small businesses survive during the Covid lockdowns.

While speaking to reporters in the Oval Office, Biden called it a “bipartisan accomplishment.”

“Without somebody signing this bill today, there are hundreds of thousands of people who could lose their jobs and small family businesses that might close forever,” Biden said.

Biden thanked Democratic Senators Ben Cardin and Jeanne Shaheen as well as Republican Senators Marco Rubio and Susan Collins for helping get the bill passed.

The bill extending the deadline passed the House by a vote of 415 to 3.

It was approved in the Senate by a vote of 92 to 7.

After Biden signed the bill, his handlers aggressively shouted down reporters trying to ask questions.

Biden just sat there looking bewildered while his staffers shielded him from reporters.

“Thank you, let’s go,” a staffer can be heard shouting repeatedly.

Biden has had quite a few embarrassing moments in recent weeks.

While speaking to reporters on Sunday evening, Biden was asked about reports that Trump is considering holding a press conference at the U.S.-Mexico border to highlight the crisis under the Biden administration.

A reporter asked Biden: “Mr. President, we have seen Republican senators at the border. Former President Trump says he’s been asked by some border patrol agents to go to the border, do you think that would be productive? And any timetable on when you might go?”

“We are putting in place a plan that I feel very confident about,” Biden replied. “And, and, uh, I don’t care what the other guy does.”

Biden held his first official press conference last Thursday since taking the White House and it didn’t take long for that to go off the rails.

Photos taken at the event showed Biden holding a card labeled “infrastructure,” with key statistics and talking points.

One bullet point noted that “China spends 3 times more on infrastructure than the U.S.”

In another photo, Biden was seen consulting a sheet that appeared to show the pictures and news outlets of journalists who attended his press conference.

Some of the pictured reporters had a circled number next to their images.

Biden took a limited number of questions from a list of pre-selected reporters before leaving the podium.

You can see numbers next to journalists’ faces and names, suggesting that the president was taking prepared questions in order.

No wonder zero conservative media reporters were called on during the press conference.

It didn’t take long for Biden’s press conference to go off the rails.

While taking questions, Biden made a stunning announcement and said he wants to run for re-election in 2024.

“My plan is to run for reelection. That’s my expectation,” Biden said, adding that he “would fully expect” that Vice President Kamala Harris will remain on the presidential ticket, and called her “a great partner.”

At another point, Biden said the U.S. should return to the type of filibuster that existed “when I came to the Senate 120 years ago.”

“I believe we should go back to a position of a filibuster that existed just when I came to the United States Senate 120 years ago,” Biden said.

Biden is 78-years-old. He did not join the U.S. Senate 120 years ago.

Biden was asked a few questions about the border crisis, but he largely dodged and danced around answering them.

Biden announced he is putting Kamala Harris in charge of addressing the migrant surge at the U.S.-Mexico border.

An explosive report revealed children detained in an overcrowded government-run tent facility at the US-Mexico border say they haven’t been able to shower for days or contact their parents.

Some children get to shower about once a week and sometimes soap runs out, with only shampoo available, she said. One child told Welch she hadn’t showered in six days.
