What’s Happening:

If you stayed up to ring in the New Year, you probably saw how sadly empty Times Square was. That was the same in Sydney, Australia and other famous locales for the holiday.

But guess what? There was one place simply packed with people, despite ongoing fears: Wuhan, China.

That’s right, the very place this virus seems to have begun was full of crowds to celebrate the new year. From IJR:

Large crowds took to the streets at midnight on Friday in the central Chinese city of Wuhan, celebrating the arrival of 2021 after a year marred by a deadly pandemic that killed thousands there and required the city to be locked down between the end of January and early April.

Odd how the country responsible many believe is responsible for a global pandemic didn’t bother to restrict mass gatherings, despite the fact the virus is still at large.

The New York Stock Exchange is starting the process of delisting securities of three Chinese telecom companies, after President Donald Trump last month barred U.S. investments in Chinese firms Washington says are owned or controlled by the military.

It seems like China is still refusing to acknowledge its responsibility for the flu that bears its name. It will not disclose exact numbers on how many of its own people were infected, though some reports say it was at least 10 times as many as reported.

And now, they are partying like they didn’t let a virus spread around the world, disrupting the lives of billions of people.

Well, European leaders and the UN might not do anything, but Trump is making sure China doesn’t get off scot-free.

He has declassified information that will put China in hot water. They apparently paid soldiers to attack Americans in Afghanistan—something that will cause a stir in the international community.

And China is starting to feel the pain as the stock exchange begins to delist Chinese companies. That will have huge repercussions on the communist country’s wealth.

Do you want Trump to keep pressing China to take responsibility?
