President Donald Trump just scared the pants off drug dealers in the U.S. with two brutal words. Liberals will be running for their safe space after hearing this.
According to Daily Caller, President Donald Trump gave a speech at a political rally in Moon Township, Pennsylvania, for Republican congressional candidate Rick Saccone who is in a tight race in the special election for state’s 18th congressional district.
The rally, which took place on Saturday, March 10, 2018, roared with Trump supporters who were not disappointed by the President Trump’s message or blunt delivery style. During his nearly 75-minute speech, Trump addressed America’s drug problem and pointed a finger at drug dealers who aren’t punished severely enough for their crimes and the lives they destroy.
“A drug dealer will kill 2,000 — 3,000 — 5,000 people during the course of his or her life. Thousands of people are killed or their lives are destroyed, their families are destroyed. So you can kill thousands of people and go to jail for thirty days,” Trump said.
“They catch a drug dealer, they don’t even put him in jail. Think of it. You kill one person, you get the death penalty in many states or life imprisonment. You, think of it, you kill 5,000 people with drugs because you’re smuggling them in and you’re making a lot of money and people are dying and they don’t even put you in jail,” Trump continued.
“They don’t anything. But you might get thirty days, sixty days, ninety days, you might get a year. But you’re not going to get, and then you wonder why we have a problem. That’s why we have a problem, folks. And I don’t think, I don’t think we should play games. Now, I never did polling on that. I don’t know if that’s popular. I don’t know if that’s unpopular,” Trump added.
“Probably, you’ll have some people that say, ‘Oh, that’s not nice,’ but these people are killing our kids and they’re killing our families and we have to do something. We can’t just keep setting up blue-ribbon committees with your wife and your wife and your husband. And they meet and they have a meal and they talk. Talk, talk, talk, two hours later they write a report. It’s a joke,” Trump said, according to Business Insider.
“Look, that’s what I got in Washington, I’ve got all these blue-ribbon committees. Blue-ribbon and we have the opioid problem and for that, we have to go after the drug companies. We have to. We have no choice. We have to go after the drug companies. We have no choice. So, so I think it’s a discussion we have to start thinking about, don’t you? I don’t know if you’re ready. I don’t know if this country’s ready for it,” Trump added.
President Donald Trump’s comments about the short prison sentences for drug dealers came directly after he talked about China and Singapore’s zero-tolerance policies for drug dealers. Trump said that after speaking with the leaders of both of those countries, it was clear that they punished drug dealers with the death penalty.
In my opinion, too many Americans underestimate the damage done to our society by drug dealers, and harsher sentences are a must. I could not agree with Trump more when he makes the comparison between a murderer who may get the death penalty for killing one person versus a drug dealer who may responsible for the deaths of thousands of people.
During Trump’s speech, rally-goers chanted “Build the wall.” The fact of the matter is that when Trump does build the wall, we will be able to better curtail the flow of drugs across our southern border with Mexico and put a stop to the majority of illegal immigration. I don’t think Trump’s reference to the death penalty for drug dealers is too harsh. Tell us what you think by leaving a comment.
