President Donald Trump is facing another impeachment and he needs all hands on deck to help him to take on the Democrats.
That is why the president has finally reconciled with his former White House Chief Strategist Steve Bannon, MSNBC reported.
“Trump has repeatedly spoken by phone with Steve Bannon in recent weeks to seek advice on his campaign to overturn his re-election defeat, reconciling with his once-estranged ex White House strategist, sources tell me,” Jennifer Jacobs, a reporter from Bloomberg News, said.
“Trump and Bannon have been talking regularly, multiple sources tell me. They’ve been in communication FOR WEEKS now, patching up earlier rift as Trump sought advice from anyone willing to help him fight his election defeat,” he said.

President Donald Trump has repeatedly spoken by phone in recent weeks with once-estranged White House adviser Steve Bannon, who’s facing federal criminal charges, for counsel on his campaign to overturn his re-election defeat, according to people familiar with the matter. One person familiar with the matter said the president has sought out allies who would tell him what he wants to hear as he promulgated false claims that the election was stolen from him.
It was not long ago that President Trump named Bannon “Sloppy Steve” and said he dropped him “like a dog.”
“Michael Wolff is a total loser who made up stories in order to sell this really boring and untruthful book. He used Sloppy Steve Bannon, who cried when he got fired and begged for his job. Now Sloppy Steve has been dumped like a dog by almost everyone. Too bad!” he said on Twitter.
But now the fences appear to have been mended and the two have spoken in time to face the Democrats together.
Business Insider reported.
Trump has spoken on the phone with Bannon multiple times in recent weeks, seeking guidance on how to overturn the 2020 election results, sources close to the matter told Bloomberg. The reunion comes after the president previously distanced himself from the conservative firebrand in 2017.
Bannon served as a top aide during Trump’s 2016 campaign, subsequently joining the White House staff right away as a chief strategist before leaving in August 2017. Since then, the relationship between the two has been rocky.
But it could be that Bannon has ulterior motives for talking to and helping his old boss. Bannon could be looking for a pardon, Politico reported.
President Donald Trump is considering granting a pardon to Steve Bannon, his former White House chief strategist and top campaign aide, who was charged with swindling donors to a private crowdsourcing effort to build a wall along the U.S.-Mexico border, according to two sources familiar with the matter.
The potential pardon would follow a wave of reprieves the president has recently granted to political allies who have been convicted, charged or reportedly under federal investigation. Two additional batches of pardons are expected — one on Friday night and one Wednesday morning before President-elect Joe Biden is sworn into office, according to one of the people.
