What’s Happening:
Soon after entering office, Joe Biden will be pushing a variety of moves to advanced his agenda.
This president who wants to “unite” the country will try to undo as much of the Trump era as possible. Be it executive orders or legislation, Biden wants to erase anything Trump did for the country.
But he’s going to find not all of his plans will be welcomed with open arms. Texas is already preparing to fight Biden’s agenda.
Gov. Abbott is focusing on his own citizens’ rights. And he’s going to make Biden’s life hard from Day One.

Texas Gov. Greg Abbott, who while serving as the state’s attorney general famously proclaimed, “I go into the office, I sue the federal government, and I go home,” said on Saturday that the Biden White House can expect a spate of legal challenges from the Lone Star state…
“Texas will take action whenever the federal government encroaches on states’ rights, or interferes with constitutional rights, or private property rights, or the right to earn a living,” Abbott added.
Gov. Greg Abbott has vowed to oppose any of Biden’s goals that threaten the rights and livelihoods of Texans.
And it looks like he’s planning some immediate action:
Texas Republicans are preparing to mount a flurry of legal challenges to push back against the incoming administration’s progressive agenda.
This should come as no surprise. Biden infamous vowed to “phase out” oil and other fossil fuels. That alone would destroy not only Texas’s economy but much of America’s.
Biden wants to raise taxes, open the borders, and impose greater environmental regulation. States have the authority to challenge the federal government through the courts.
The Trump administration was tangled up with lawsuits from the moment it began. California even preemptively passed laws to protect their sanctuary cities, even before Trump entered office.
Texas has every right to oppose an agenda that violates its peoples’ rights. Biden wants to radically change America? He better come out swinging.
