What’s Happening:

Mitt Romney can hardly be called a Trump cheerleader. He has constantly flipped on his support of the former president.

It seems, when he needed something from Trump, he was all for him. But now that he’s out of office, Romney is throwing the president under the bus.

Many Republicans have spoken out against the left’s second bogus impeachment of the president.

So what do you think Romney said about it? From Fox News:

Sen. Mitt Romney, R-Utah, expressed support for the upcoming impeachment trial of former President Donald Trump, telling “Fox News Sunday” that a trial is needed to achieve “truth and justice.”

… “And, you know, if we’re going to have unity in our country, I think it’s important to recognize the need for accountability, for truth and justice.”

No surprise that Romney actually expressed all this on CNN.

You know Romney is talking out of the side of his mouth when he says this impeachment is about “truth and justice.”

The Democrats did not bother to conduct a single investigation before voting to impeach. There has been no evidence present to uphold their charge against Trump.

If Romney actually cared about “truth and justice,” why isn’t he demanding a fair trial, due process, and a shred of evidence?

Romney, like his buddies across the aisle, claims this will bring “unity” for the country. “Unity,” it seems, is code for “obey what we say,” among Democrats.

Because nothing they have done in the last four years shows they want to be united with conservatives.

Romney has increasingly outraged his own voter base in Utah. Does he really think this will go over well with them?

If he votes to convict Trump a second time, does he think he will have a chance at getting re-elected?

Would you vote for Romney if you had the chance, or are you done with him?

Key Takeaways:

  • Romney seems to be in favor of an impeachment trial in the Senate.
  • Romney claims it will bring “unity” and “truth and justice.”
  • The House did not conduct a single investigation to provide evidence for their impeachment.
