Well, that didn’t take long. Biden’s been in office for about two months and already he’s being accused of breaking the law.
We know that several conservative states have sued the administration over the border and drilling. Now, Republican congressmen have petitioned the GAO, the Government Accountability Office, over another move Biden made.
And it looks like they are investigating a move where Biden might have undermined Congress to stop Trump’s signature legacy.

Democrat President Joe Biden is reportedly “under investigation” for halting billions of dollars in payments that were set to go out to companies that were tasked with finishing President Donald Trump’s southern border wall.
“Now the Government Accountability Office is launching a review to determine whether the new president broke the law by freezing the money in violation of budget rules designed to keep Congress in control of the cash flow,” Politico reported.
Why It’s Important:
Forty Republican Senators, joined by over sixty Republican congressmen called on the GAO to look into Biden’s order halting the border wall project.
The GAO is going to have to decide if Biden violated the law by interfering with the project. According to the law, only Congress has the power to control the flow of cash.
By freezing money set aside for the border wall, it appears Biden has once again overstepped his authority.

This isn’t the first time we’ve seen Biden do this. He signed a mountain of executive orders early on to cram his agenda through, refusing to go through Congress.
Texas and other states are suing Biden over a similar move to halt the progress of the Keystone Pipeline, arguing once again that he does not have the authority to do so.
Reports even indicate that he is even planning on abusing—I mean using—his executive authority to undermine our Second Amendment.
Even the New York Times previously rebuked Biden for working so hard to get around Congress.
The GAO will have to decide if Biden broke the law to freeze the border project. But if they do, it’s uncertain what will happen next.
Biden will not be willing to resume the border project. But it might give Republicans a chance to take the issue to court.
