All these issues with our skin can be a nightmare. Something new is always appearing on the skin, whether it be a mole or a dark spot. Here are some natural, at-home remedies to deal with these unsightly skin issues.

Skin tags
Skin tags are growths on the skin surface that usually appear on the chest, eyelids, armpits and neck. They are usually caused by rubbing the skin on another part of the skin. What may help is dipping a cotton ball in apple cider vinegar, squeeze it for excess and then cover the skin tag. After this the skin tag should be gone in a few days.

Baking soda and castor oil are also good for skin tag removal. Mix the two until they form a paste and keep it in a refrigerator for a period of two whole days. Then apply it on the skin tag, and cover it with a bandage. Apply the paste on the skin tag three times daily.

Moles
Mixing castor oil and baking soda together creates an ointment that may remove moles if applied for several weeks, according to the health website Medical News Today. The theory behind this is that the baking soda dries out the mole and the castor oil help protect the skin.

Tea tree essential oil is a well-researched essential oil best known for its antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory properties, states Medical News Today. Some people claim that applying tea tree oil several times a day will cause the mole to disappear. Take care when using tea tree oil as it is potent and toxic if swallowed.

Blackheads
Baking soda can be used to potentially eliminate blackheads, according to Reader’s Digest. Baking soda helps to neutralize any pH imbalance in the skin, as well as work as an exfoliant to remove dirt, oil, and dead skin cells. Mix two tablespoons of baking soda and two tablespoons of water together to form a paste. Massage the paste onto your face, rinse off with warm water, and then be sure to moisturize afterward. This mixture could dry your skin, so don’t use it more than two or three days a week.

Brown sugar, honey, and lemon juice make up this exfoliation mixture that can be used on blackheads on the chin and nose, according to Reader’s Digest. Mix together one tablespoon of brown sugar, two tablespoons of lemon, and one tablespoon of raw honey. When it’s mixed well, apply to the face in a circular motion, massaging it in for five minutes before rinsing it off and applying moisturizer.

Spots
Dark spots usually come with age and may appear like discolorations on the face or hands. They appear due to aging or overexposure to the sun in most cases, but liver problems could also trigger them. For a natural remedy, try putting fresh aloe on the affected area for a period of 30 minutes. Onion is also good for dark spots. Blend the onion and put it on the affected area of the skin. Leave it on for 15 minutes and then rinse it off with water. Repeat this method twice a day.

Warts
Apple cider vinegar also works as it can kill some types of bacteria and viruses on contact, according to the medical resource website Healthline. The vinegar burns and slowly destroys the infected skin, causing the wart to fall off, similar to how salicylic acid works. Mix two parts apple cider vinegar in one part water. Then, soak a cotton ball in the vinegar/water solution. Apply the cotton ball directly on top of the wart. Cover with tape or a bandage, keeping the cotton ball on the wart overnight as you sleep. Then remove the cotton ball and bandage or tape and discard. Repeat this every night until the wart falls off.
