What’s Happening:
By now, you probably have heard about the thousands of National Guardsmen that were deployed (under Pelosi’s orders) to Biden’s inauguration.
You probably also saw the photos of our troops being forced to sleep on the floor in government buildings. Sad to say, the story gets worse.
But after the Inauguration, they were moved out of those buildings and were forced to sleep in freezing garages. From Fox News:
The Guardsmen, who had been resting inside the Capitol between 12-hour shifts, were moved to a nearby parking garage where photos obtained by Politico and other outlets showed members crowded together on the ground — some resting their heads against cement pillars.
And the Texas governor seems to have decided enough was enough.

Republican Texas Gov. Greg Abbott ordered members of the Texas National Guard to return from Washington, D.C. after U.S. Capitol Police forced thousands of soldiers to sleep and rest in a parking garage.
“I have instructed General Norris to order the return of the Texas National Guard to our state,” Abbott wrote on Twitter on Thursday night.
After learning about how the federal government was treating his guardsmen, Gov. Abbott ordered them to return to Texas.
Abbott had previously promised to stop sending troops to D.C. if they were treated this way again. At the time, Democrats subjected them to background checks, and sent some home when they found comments and texts they didn’t approve of.
But this treatment in the parking garages may have been the straw that broke the camel’s back. Americans from all over the country expressed outrage at the photos of our soldiers being treated so badly by their own leaders.
Numerous representatives in the House and Senate condemned it. Some even offered to let soldiers stay in their own offices.
As soldiers, our men and women in uniform are ready to endure cold nights and harsh treatment. But that is overseas when they are fighting an enemy.
Should a single guardsman be literally put out on the streets while protecting their own country, providing security for an almost empty inauguration?
Abbott doesn’t think so, and neither do millions of Americans. Hopefully, more governors will follow his lead.
