Donald Trump has had his fair share of trouble recently, but it might be turning around.,
After leaving office, the president faced a second impeachment. This one was rushed through the system, with several notable Republicans joining the scheme.
Other Republicans, some former allies, turned on Trump—claiming Republicans need to “move on.”
But the Dems’ push to convict Trump of incitement failed. Nor does it seem most Americans believed their narrative.
Fifty-nine percent of Republican voters said they want Trump to play a major role in their party going forward. That’s up 18 percentage points from a Morning Consult poll conducted on Jan. 7, and an increase of 9 points from a follow-up poll on Jan. 25, before the impeachment trial began.
Now, a new poll is showing how the 2024 race might look like.
Fifty-three percent of Republicans said they would vote for Trump if the primary were held today.
Soon after Trump was acquitted of the left’s second impeachment attempt, Trump’s approval among Republicans jumped.
And polls about the 2024 primaries have Trump an overwhelming favorite. He sits at 53% approval, which’s miles ahead of any other candidate mentioned.
Bu-but, the media said that Trump was finished! He was rejected by the party and they were getting behind Sleepy Joe!
Not quite. When 75,000,000 Americans vote for you, they don’t turn their backs so easily.
While some RINOs have stabbed Trump in the back, it doesn’t seem voting Americans have. In fact, those D.C. Republicans that supported impeachment will have a tough row to hoe in the coming years.
Many of them faced censures from their state party leaders. Others already have primary rivals.
Meanwhile, with Trump in the clear of impeachment, he can be as aggressive as he wants politically.
Lindsey Graham said Trump was “excited” for the 2022 Midterms. That suggests Trump might throw his weight behind the GOP rewinning the House.
And who knows what will happen next? Trump promised he wasn’t going away anytime soon. With these new approval numbers, we just might be seeing him again very soon.
Would you vote for Donald Trump again?
