What’s Happening:

Soon after Joe Biden signed an order requiring masks on federal property, he was seen not wearing one at the Lincoln Memorial.

Many called into question the seeming act of hypocrisy. Biden was on federal property, among reporters, and did not wear a mask.

Fox News’ Peter Doocy was able to ask Biden’s new spox, Jen Psaki, about this.

And he left her fumbling and confused. From Breitbart:

“He was surrounded by his family, we take a number of precautions but I think we have bigger issues to worry about at this moment in time,” Psaki explained.

Psaki was questioned about Biden’s apparent hypocrisy on masks by Fox News reporter Peter Doocy, but it appeared that she did not have a prepared answer.

Psaki didn’t seem to have a very good answer ready for Doocy, claiming it was apparently okay for Biden not to wear a mask… because he was celebrating?

She even said Biden has “bigger issues” to worry about. Uh, really? What bigger issue is there right now in America?

And Biden touted in his inaugural address that he will lead by the power of his example. Then shouldn’t he, as the President of the United States, be the first person to wear one?

Especially after he signed an order demanding the rest of us wear them on federal property?

What is it, Joe—is it one rule for me and another for thee?

Some in the media tried to go after Doocy, saying he didn’t perfectly quote the mandate and that exceptions were allowed. But you would think Biden would show people that people’s safety is more important to him than exceptions.

Or maybe it will turn out that Biden has the same attitude as Trump did, except Donald was actually honest about his position.

Psaki actually made the problem worse, by implying that Biden doesn’t care about this issue or that he is more concerned with “celebrating.”

How many Americans have canceled celebrations—or had them largely disrupted—because of COVID over the last year?

Even when we have been able to celebrate weddings, birthdays, or holidays—masks and “social distancing” was required (in some states, you could be fined if you didn’t).

Should Joe be masking up if he tells everyone else it is their patriotic duty to do it?
