What’s Happening:

In the aftermath of the events of January 6, a number of Republicans turned on Trump. When it came time to vote on Pelosi’s rushed impeachment, ten of them voted yes.

That has not gone over well for Americans. The apparent ring leader of this group, Wyoming’s Liz Cheney, has received backlash from many constituents.

Her party back home is demanding answers, after countless angry calls and messages from voters.

And now, it looks like Cheney will have a hard time come re-election. From Washington Examiner:

Just two weeks after House Republican Conference Chairwoman Liz Cheney cast her vote to impeach President Donald Trump, Wyoming state Sen. Anthony Bouchard announced he planned to primary Cheney in the midterm election cycle…

“Wyoming taxpayers need a voice in Congress who will stand up to Nancy Pelosi and the Democrats, and not give them cover. That’s why I’m running for Congress.”

Liz Cheney will face a primary challenge in the form of Anthony Bouchard, a Republican state senator.

Bouchard called out Cheney, claiming she gave Nancy “cover” for her impeachment scheme.

Numerous Republicans turned tail and ran after the events of January 6. It appeared they were throwing Trump under the bus to save their skin.

Perhaps they were trying to appease the D.C. swamp. Or maybe they assumed the entire party would turn against Trump.

Instead, RINOs like Cheney are learning Americans don’t appreciate voting for impeachment with no evidence presented. The midterms are two years away, but it would not be a huge surprise to learn additional candidate will challenge her seat.

Other House Republicans have called out Cheney’s attacks against Trump. Members of the Freedom Caucus want her removed from her seat of leadership.

That trend appears to be growing, casting her future in the party in doubt.

What good is it to have a Republican Party, if members just bow to the left?

Ask any of the 75,000,000 Americans who voted for Trump—they don’t take kindly to RINOs.

If Cheney were smart, perhaps she would try to win back the party by supporting their causes.

If not, she might be looking for a new job soon.
