What’s Happening:On his first day in office, Joe Biden unleashed a flurry of executive orders. One of the worst was his canceling of the Keystone XL pipeline.
That project, fought by Trump to be made a reality, would have provided countless jobs for hard-working folks. Not to mention provide new energy resources for the country.
Clearly, the Democrat thought this would make other leftist leaders happy, because of their “dedication” to the environment.
But he didn’t get the praise he was expecting. From NY Post:
Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau on Wednesday said he was “disappointed” in President Biden’s pledge to revoke a permit for the controversial Keystone XL pipeline — as the company behind it said work on the project was being suspended…
“While we welcome the President’s commitment to fight climate change, we are disappointed but acknowledge the President’s decision to fulfill his election campaign promise on Keystone XL,” Trudeau said.
How ironic. Joe Biden was touted as a “better” leader to the world. But already he’s ticking off our neighbors.
Trump negotiated for years for a good deal between us and Canada. The pipeline would have provided billions for companies on both sides of the border.
But it seems Biden is listening to granola-crunching hippies, not people actually responsible for the economy.
Even liberal Trudeau was “disappointed” in what Biden did. Apparently, his government tried to convince Biden not to cancel the project.
According to reports, Biden killed roughly 8,000 jobs. Ouch. So much for blue-collar Biden, huh?
That would hurt Canadian workers as well. Other Canadian lawmakers criticized Biden’s move. Alberta Premier Jason Kenney said he was “deeply disturbed” by what Biden did.
Yup, you and me both Jason. It seems Biden is not making decisions that are best for America (and Canada), but what will please radical activists who, by the way, won’t be losing their jobs for the project is canceled.
Maybe Biden should rethink who is advising him.
