Ferrari 458 Speciale with WWII Shark Teeth

While we’ve already gotten used to “standard” supercars such as the Ferrari 458 Italia or pre-2015 Nissan GT-R receiving overly extravagant wraps to stay in the attention zone, now and then the second skin industry surprises us by giving such treatment to a track special.

This happens to be the case with the 458 Speciale in the image above.

The Prancing Horse has been given a World War II shark teeth fighter wrap, even though the simulated panels found all over the car may point out to much newer fighter planes. Speaking of which the Speciale wheels design seen here seems to perfectly fit the aviary theme of the supercar.

The wrap has been created for this year’s edition of the goldRush Rally, with the image coming from Facebook user Drew Lindquist, via Gumbal .

Perhaps the most interesting part of this visual setup is the similarity to the Porsche 911 GT3 RS we showed you at the beginning of the month. Yes, we’re talking about another shark teeth fighter plane approach, and when such a wrap covers the Speciale’s archenemy, we can only come to the conclusion that this is an awesome time to own a supercar.
However, while this Maranello machine doesn’t come with all that many mods, the Rennsport Neunelfer in question has to be the craziest one we’ve shown you to date.

Perhaps the most interesting part of the car, obviously going past the wrap, is the track setup installed by California-based GMG Racing. From 19-inch wheels (standard units come in a 20-inch size) wrapped in racing slicks to steel brakes instead of the standard ceramics, this is one hell of a track car.

And since the internet always likes to bring us such goodies, we’ll return with more pieces of fast eye-candy as soon as we get our keyboards on them.
