Many people do not know this fact that high blood sugar levels can be the reason for severe damage. High blood sugar can cause damage to your nerves, organs and blood vessels whether you have diabetes or not. The real danger though is when your blood sugar level does not go down because this is where serious health problems can take place.

Why people suffer from high blood? Fundamentally the reasons for sugar are because they are uneducated about the seriousness and the signs that our body gives.

To keep your body healthy, and your blood sugar levels down have an eye for the following signs.

1.Constantly thirsty:

Polyuria is the main reason why high blood sugar causes you to be thirsty. Your kidneys cannot keep up when your blood sugar level is high. So they produce more urine to get rid of the excess glucose they cannot absorb. This is the reason you become dehydrated.

2.Increased eating habits:

You might have high blood sugar levels if you find that your eating habits are increasing. The reason why high blood sugar levels can cause increased eating is that glucose is unable to enter the cells. It could be because of lack of insulin or possibly insulin resistance. When this occurs, your body is unable to turn the food you eat into energy. So your body will require more food to try and produce glucose if it feels that it doesn’t have enough energy.

3.Constant urination:

Keep an eye on your trips to the bathroom. If you find you are going every hour, you could have high blood sugar levels. This sign is linked directly to constant thirst. Your kidneys are unable to keep up with the excess sugar, so they only way they can get rid of it is through urination. But this could also mean you have a more severe health issue. Talk to your doctor in this case.

4.Chronic fatigue:

When you have high blood sugar, you urinate more, and you become thirsty because your kidneys cannot absorb the glucose and create energy. You might think that having high blood sugar means you have a lot of energy. The total opposite can happen though. With no strength, your body will become sick and exhausted.

5.Blurry vision:

High blood sugar can cause the lenses of your eyes to swell. Swollen lenses cause your vision to become blurry. However, consult your doctor to get a proper diagnosis although in most cases this blurry vision is just temporary.

6.Dry skin:

High blood sugar levels can cause the nerves to become damaged and also causes the body to lose fluids rapidly. If you experience this sign, your blood sugar levels may have been high for quite some time. The body’s nerves become damaged, and the skin becomes dehydrated if this process continues for years.

7.Impotence:

High blood sugar disrupts that blood flow and damages the nerves and blood vessels.

8.Weight gain:

Chances are you might be insulin resistant if you have high blood sugar. Well, your cells would no longer respond to insulin. It is challenging for insulin-resistant cells to take glucose from your blood. Your blood sugar levels begin to build up over time because of this and you tend to gain weight.

Poor diet is one of the leading causes. Digesting your food quickly is not a good thing. This can cause a spike in your blood sugar levels. It can also cause harmful cholesterol levels as well. But you’re probably wondering what causes high blood sugar levels. People who have a diet that consists foods that are highly processed and have a lot of calories can cause them to digest quickly.

Lack of exercise is another reason. Exercise helps with the heart rate and keeps your bones healthy. But what it also does is keep your muscle cells sensitive to insulin. Definitely, you run the risk of your muscle cells becoming resistant to insulin, if you don’t exercise, which controls your blood sugar levels.

Do you also have high blood sugar levels? Do you have a lot of stress in your life? Stress hormones can cause blood sugar levels to rise. It is sad but stress can cause a spike in your blood sugar.

Do not try and self-diagnose yourself, consult your doctor first as these signs could mean something entirely different. Perhaps few of these signs are symptoms from a common cold!
